You could get a cash reward of up to $1,000
Madison County Crime Stoppers and Campus Crime Stoppers encourage members of the community to assist local law enforcement agencies in the fight against crime by overcoming the two key elements that inhibit community involvement: fear and apathy.
Madison County Crime Stoppers provide a telephone number and website to encourage citizens in the community to volunteer information vital to law enforcement agencies to fight against crime.
Callers remain anonymous and are eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $1,000 if the information provided leads to an arrest or grand jury indictment of a felony offender, and smaller awards are possible to tipsters providing information leading to any other arrests.
Crime Stoppers relies on volunteer Directors, tax deductible contributions from the public, and some government funding in order to operate the program.
